Seems fitting for the subject, but my
English has more to do with the
computer's location than conscious
intent...

I think finding an expression which makes
sense, or has a connection of context is
more important than exact translation.

Blood Simple is not as 'ungrammatical' as
you imply. It reminds the listener of
similar expressions such as "dead
simple"or "blood red" etc.

The question if the Hebrew name used does
the same or not is another matter. while
I agree that getting the audience to come
is important, so is signalling the type
of movie or genre.

The translation used seems to be the most
basic, bland, non-descriptive possible,
and therefore fails. Unfortunately, this
is very common in such translations
as 'those in charge'do nothing to give
them subtle meaning. This perhaps is to
get to the lowest common denominator, but
repels certain audiences as well.
