I'm sorry you didn't find my review insightful; I'm pleased many others did. Gottfreund's book was presented in the media, and by the author himself, as referencing Grossman's book. The narrative of a holocaust story by a child, in reference to family and neighbors, and on a quest to find out what happened "there", is, I believe, very similar. In my mind, and in the minds of many friends, the comparison was immediately available and begged for analysis. As to the quality of the analysis, I appreciate the comment though it most certainly could be framed more adequately and politely. I'm happy many people emailed with positive comments, and additional thoughts about these two books, but I guess not everyone likes everything, and it is your prerogative not to appreciate it.
