The legal definition differs from the medical one, but I feel kind of ridiculous translating statutory provisions to English on a Hebrew website. In any case, look up the relevant provisions in the penal code; they include illnesses dur to which the person:

A.1. Wasn't conscious of her actions or
A.2. Couldn't distinguish between right and wrong or

B. Was plagued by an uncontrollable drive to commit the offense.
