From "cataveno" in Paris w/o a proper Hebrew Keyboard I have a double Israeli / French nationalities. When I lived in the States, I had the right to vote on French matters if I went through the trouble of going to the embassy ahead of times to register and fill out all the paperwork. I chose not to, because I didn't really care... On the other hand, I would have by all means registered to vote in the Israeli consulate if it were possible, as I do feel very much involved and concerned (I grew up in Jerusalem and have family in Eretz ha-kodesh). I even flew in from San Francisco especially for the 99 elections, though naturally it's not something I can do in every elections. To make a long story short, I would really be for allowing Israelis to vote abroad, but I don't think it will ever happen, as the formal attitude regarding the "yordim" is against that
