To the point, as a highly fluent on the Arabic language I can tell (As Ashkenazi in origin) that to some people the Arabic language’s intonation may be heard as a rude one, much like Japanese for example, so I would not exclude an innocent mistake in the road turn and confusion that followed that mistake, causing a strange talk.
