Well, after 3 months with 155 students from all the corners of Europe together in Geneve, I can say the following:
* About half of the German youth has tried marijuana and/or ecstasy or other drugs * In the Netherlands (including Holland) the situation is far worse. Nearly everyone has atleast tried marijuana, alcohol is very cheap and is heavily consumed especially by students, who get cheaper beer according to an agreement between the academy and the royal breweries who rented the university's facilities some 400 hundred years ago (isn't it great?) * The Belgian-Dutch-German triangle is full with very nice clothing, very cheap commodities and lots and lots of weed. It's a way of life there, and it kills their will to live and the speed of their reactions. Belgian youth is one of the most fragile, skinny, jobnikky phenomenon I have ever encountered, though they make brilliant clubbing music. * It is banned in France but commonly smoked in the campuses, even though the French brutal police is very tough about this too. But then again, France has never considered broad higher education to be a value or a goal. * I think it's also common in Portugal, despite their poverty. I haven't heard about it being widespread in Spain. * It's widely spread in Switzerland, atleast in the French and Italian speaking parts. Bavaria is too conservative, but they have a heavy alcoholism problem and they're generally dumb now that no jews feel good living there. Same goes for the Austrian side of Bavaria. * Smoking in general is common in Italy, and smoking weed and other kinds of shit is far too common. Accordingly they act like idiots some times, even the most intelligent ones will act like jerks when doped. * Russia was always problematic, it's also there in Bulgaria and the Czech republic. No news about Hungary or Croatia, I just don't know of any weed users from there. * Turkey is generally clean, also from alcohol. Sweden is addicted to coffee but clean from weed. Copenhagn's economy is based on free trade of weed at the occupied military base in its center. They're not too much into drinking, but they smoke too much regardless of the weed inside. Anyways, it's far from getting near the Dutch fucks. * Norway is extremely rich but clean. Alcohol is atleast as expensive in Norway and Sweden as it is in Israel. * The Finnish people smoke more than the Swedes, but they drink less coffee, don't drink as much as the Germans or the Dutch, and none of them was into drugs as far as I know. But it's a big chilly country. * No news about Lappland, but they're poor and unlike the bedouines they don't have Egypt to import Hashish from. No drug producing tyrannies on the Arctic pole as far as I know, though you never know what the mafia is up to. * About 10% of the college students in the states are into drinking to death. I mean drinking vodka and other cheap drinks just in order to pass out quick, doing it routinely to kill your brain. That's what happens when you leave home too early and behave like an American pig in the dorms. Their problem is not hashish but all kinds of other toxics and horrible chemicals. Rabak, they treat their kids with chemicals rather than educating them, it's horrible to watch. * I forgot England, where the pubs close early and so everyone drink a lot and fast. Clubs are expensive and close no later than 02:00 top, so Englishmen generally drink like pigs and come fueled with extasy and such. The Scottish just drink, The Ires are ok as far as I know, they're just too grim. * Malta is Catholic and clean, no idea about Iceland. * You don't want to study in Canada, our universities are better and it's less cold. * No idea about Australia, it's a big place anyway. Nice place to do post-doc. * Syria is dirty, Lebanon is nice, Egypt is dirty and not nice, Libya should be clean, Tunisia is dirty and dangerous, Marrocco is relatively clean but has weed. Iraq is starving, Saudi pigs are tasteless, the Iranians always had good taste but I'm afraid they smoke too much, though they don't drink much. * Japan should be relatively clean though into drinking. Corea is clean but drunk. Tailand is awfully dirty and so is India, though they're better educated than the Americans. Pakistan is clean but the regime is corrupt. Afghanistan is dirty and ruined. No news from Sri Lanka or Indonesia, Singapur is clean of course. * I'm afraid Manila is dirty, as well as Saigon and Hong Kong. The Chinese drink but are not so much into smoking or injecting drugs. At least not the ones I know. Vietnamm is dirty but Budhist. * I think Alaska is dirty, but you better ask Oded Bendod. Sudan is dirty like Egypt, there's gat in Yemen and probably in Ethopia, Somalia and Erithrea too. No news about Kenya, South Africa has some more serious problems. Africa in general is just dying from AIDS and malnourishment, thanks to the world bank, the IMF and the international red cross. * Madgascar is ok but the population is growing fast, deforestation is severe and I don't know of any serious academic facilities there. Trinidad should be clean, the rest of South America is deep into shit. * So Colombia, Brazil and all the central-American countries have this problem of cocaine, opium and heroin. However they're strictly Catholic, so conservative families stay out of drugs. It's quite dichotomic. No idea about the far south-American countries, never been there, never met scientists from there. * Antarctica should be clean but you never know what the mafia is up to. * No news about Micronezia or Israel. |
