I spent the better half of my fifteenth year teaching an ancient 386 (ancient even by the standards of that time) to play Queen's "We Will Rock You" as an Amiga MOD music file. At a time when most of my less-inspired peers were busy conducting preliminary experiments in reproduction, and others preferred working hard to ensure their academic futures, I spent whole nights in front of my trusty old ST3 inputting the pitches of the notes, going over the exact timing of the "We will, we will, rock you" chorus, giving final touches to my samples of Freddie Mercury's guitar effects, and adoring the sophistication of the software's built-in visualiser. When the year was over I showed the piece to my classmate Gabi, a girl who was as socially active as she was impressively equipped. I was worried that the ending of the chorus sounded a bit artificial, but I can tell you this, it wasn't nearly as artificial as the sympathetic smile on her face.
...And this anecdote sums up my entire musical experience: plain electronics. No wooden pipes through which to blow or horse's hairs on which to saw for me! And since a Discman is the only electronic choice that this survey has got, that's what I voted.
